I decided to have plastic surgery after losing almost 15 stone , I had a lot of loose skin left over which was uncomfortable , unsightly and left me with low self confidence. It was hard to find nice clothes as I had to specifically find things that would hide my problem areas, and mainly had to find clothes with longer sleeves to hide my arms and in summer wasn’t ideal.
How did I hear about the practice?
I initially had my weight loss surgery here so knew the hospital well. I knew it was a great hospital, it was local to myself and the staff are all amazing so I knew this is where I wanted to come back to
Why did I choose Mr Winterton?
I had been personally recommended Mr Winterton to me through my bariatric team at the Alexandra hospital. Prior to this I had done extensive research into many different surgeons and joined forums online to discuss patients recommendations and results. Mr Winterton always came up highly recommended and all his worked looked amazing. I booked in for a consultation to see how i would feel and was instantly put at ease and felt relaxed. We had a thorough chat and he explained everything detail about what could and couldn’t be achieved. Mr Winterton was so lovely to speak to and no question ever felt silly or too much and I knew from the moment I walked into his clinic that he was the surgeon for me

How do I feel it went overall?
The whole process from first consultation right through to surgery and follow ups were amazing. I was kept fully informed throughout and was clear in exactly what was being done and what to expect and the team were always on hand if I had any questions or concerns, I really could not have asked for anything better
How was recovery and aftercare?
My recovery and aftercare were amazing , I was fully informed of everything before hand so knew exactly what to expect during and afterwards . Pain was minimal and had all the guidance and support I could ever need. The team were always there if I needed them if I had any worries or concerns and extra appointments were arranged when I needed them to put my mind at rest and make sure everything was ok whilst healing . Nothing was ever too much trouble and the whole team have been nothing but amazing from start to finish
How has it changed my life?
This surgery has changed my life massively thanks to Mr Winterton. Gone are the days of having low confidence and having to hide in long sleeved baggy tops to hide everything and feeling body conscious and uncomfortable. The scarring is extremely neat and particularly on the arms have been put where its not noticeable until you point them out or raise your arms above your head which is not something I really need to do much of so I honestly could not be happier . The scarring for me is part of my journey and I’m proud of them. In general now I am so much happier and my confidence has sky rocketed I feel like a completely different person, the best thing I have ever done for myself
Would I be happy to recommend?
I would 100% recommend Mr Winterton at this practice, he is absolutely amazing , he takes time to listen to your concerns and is completely open and honest about what can and cant be achieved so you know you have realistic expectations. One thing I will say is Mr Winterton does not over promise but certainly over delivers and my results have been better than I could have ever imagined or dreamed of and I genuinely am so happy and grateful and cannot thank him enough, and cant wait to have more surgeries performed by him in the future
