“I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your care and support you have given me…It was more than appreciated”
Thank you for visiting my website. I count myself very lucky to specialise in surgery that makes such a positive difference to people’s lives.
With 13 years’ experience in plastic and cosmetic surgery my expertise covers the full scope of the speciality, from aesthetic fillers to microsurgical limb reconstruction in children. So, whatever you are looking for you, can be confident you will be in safe hands.
I graduated with MBBS (Merit) from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2000. Having undertaken my basic surgical training in Yorkshire, I was very proud to be appointed to the prestigious Leeds/Manchester plastic surgery training scheme. I spent six intensive years there developing my clinical skills while also undertaking an MPhil research degree in peripheral nerve injury at the University of Manchester.
After my higher plastic surgery training was completed I spent 12 months developing my interest in paediatric and microsurgical upper limb surgery. This culminated in being part of the surgical team which performed the first hand transplant in the UK in December 2012. I then spent a further 12 months specialising in general and cosmetic plastic surgery in Adelaide, Australia.
I now practise as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon across Manchester and the North West. I treat adults and children with a wide variety of problems including:
• hand and nerve surgery
• microsurgical reconstruction
• skin cancer management, and
• all aspects of cosmetic surgery.
I live with my wife, two children and chocolate Labrador, Rufus, and enjoy travel, going to the gym and playing golf.
I look forward to seeing how I can make a difference to your life.
